Do you know the savior?
Let us introduce you…
What is the Gospel? Why do I need it?
God created us to be with him.
Genesis 1:27
Psalm 139:13-14
Our sin separates us from God.
Romans 3:23
Isaiah 59:2
Sin cannot be removed by good deeds
Eph. 2:8-9
Gal 2:16
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again
2 Cor 5:21
Heb. 9:22
Everyone who trusts in Him alone will have eternal life
Matthew 25:46
John 14:6
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever
The totality of Scripture reveals this truth, but the need for Christ is urgent
How Can I be Saved?
Biblical salvation comes simply from faith in Jesus Christ
We are saved by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, by Christ alone
God has done all the work, all you must do is receive in faith the gift of salvation
The only thing we must do is believe: admit that you are a sinner and repent, believe that Jesus is the Son of God, confess him as savior and Lord
A prayer cannot save you…
If you understand the gospel, believe it to be true, and have accepted Jesus as your salvation, it is good and appropriate to express that faith to God in prayer
It is important that you do not base salvation on having said a prayer, responded to an altar call, or said the “right” combination of words…
Fully trust His death as the sufficient sacrifice for your sin
How do we receive salvation? We are saved by faith. First, we must hear the gospel—the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, we must believe—fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16). This involves repentance, a changing of mind about sin and Christ (Acts 3:19), and calling on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:9-10, 13).
